New York 2014

Hey remember that one time I said I was going to go to New York? Well I did, and it was amazing, I loved every minute of it! Here's a little video/photographic proof from the days we were in the city. Sorry it's like three months late... better late than never right?

why i blog

I'm here to talk about New Years resolutions and my blog. I have been completely uninspired on this little blog of mine for the past while. First of all I want to talk about the reasons I blog. I don't have a big following, and I probably never will and that is completely ok, I don't blog to become popular or liked on the internet, I blog for me.
I'm a writer and I blog for the intense relief of spilling all of my feelings in one place. I blog to share the things that make me happy with other people. I have loved the people I have met through blogging, I have loved the friendships that have grown through blogging. Sometimes my mouse will hover over the publish button before posting not knowing if I should share something or not, but I have never been disappointed with sharing. I have received love and support from facebook friends, instagram followers and bloggers alike.
I think my biggest downfall with blogging has been feeling the pressure of having to blog, and only sticking to certain topics. I loved the little blog I created last semester ( http://vintagethread.blogspot.com/ ) but I missed this one. I love the fact that this blog has no theme, I can write whatever I want, whatever I feel, and I missed that. I think from here on out I'll be posting more fun vintage inspired things, (I was able to find a lot of fun vintage clothes and objects that I cant wait to share with you all!) but i'll also be posting my fears, my struggles, my happiness, things I find funny, and whatever else I feel like! Here's to a new year, and lots of real raw posts.
Here's a sneak peek of some of the vintage outfits you might see soon on my blog, courtesy of my amazing grandma. :)

remember me?

Hey, I'm back, I'm still alive in case anyone was wondering. Life has been crazy this past semester, going to school full time, working part time, writing for the school newspaper, and trying to keep up on homework and the small social life I have has been exhausting. I don't have a cutesy post that I put time or much thought in for you guys today, I'm sorry I'll have some soon I promise, but I do have some random pictures to fill you in on my life as of late!

I'm currently waiting for a letter from a boy, and meanwhile I've been reading through all my old ones.
I'm also waiting for this skirt from modcloth to arrive at my front door. So basically my life is checking the mail, and all that came for me today was a reminder that my drivers license is about to expire. Best.Day.Ever.

This is my life motto.

I want to start out by saying that this blog might be a little bit neglected for the next semester. But while I am absent here I will be blogging regularly at http://vintagethread.blogspot.com/ I put my first post up today! I would love it if any of you want to check it out! It's a vintage fashion/history blog. Hope to see you there! :)

sorry, I've been busy...

It's a lame excuse I know, and yet I'm using it anyway...
Life has been a little bit crazy this past month between school, work, homework and the small social life that I have. That and I've been having a lot of anxiety. It's been quite rainy here and it suits my mood just fine, it feels as if the sky is crying with me.

On a happier note I love my major! :) I think you know you picked the right major when you love doing your homework. Speaking of homework, for one of my classes I have to create a blog! I haven't posted yet, but I will have a post up by the end of this week. It's going to be a vintage fashion/ history blog. Here's a link to it if you're interested in following along.  http://vintagethread.blogspot.com/
The pictures below are where I took the first pictures for my new blog. I went up the canyon with some friends and it was beautiful, I have missed the mountains this summer. Despite all the anxiety I've been having lately being in the mountains made me feel peaceful, It's amazing how nature can speak to and calm your soul.
