Ted

I would like to make a shout out to my favorite selfie partner and partner in crime, my little brother Eric, but I mostly call him Ted. Why Ted you ask? When I was little I used to call him Teddy Bear but then as we both got older it evolved into Ted, I think Ted sounds more grown up. Don't you?

I took this one in Mesquite Nevada on our way to California and Disney Land this summer! (He didn't want his picture taken.) Haha :)

standing on the edge

I biked out here twice this weekend. Our Heavenly Father has created such a beautiful world, don't you think? I'm grateful to live so close to beautiful places, where I can stand on the edge and clear my head. How does standing on the edge of something make you feel? Big? Small? Confused? Left in awe of  how much God's hand is in our lives? Right now I feel as if I'm standing on the edge of my life, trying to figure out where I'm going, what I want, and what God want's for me. Lately things have been tough, but I'm always left feeling amazed when I look back and see how my Heavenly Father has shaped my life.

Standing on the edge of something isn't easy, but sometimes you just have to patiently wait, and enjoy the view.

take me back to those days

I stumbled upon this picture on facebook the other day.
It brought back a flood of memories. We went bowling that night, I think I lost horribly. Then we stopped at the infamous Sip It soda shack and bought drinks. They had just got  an order of these adorable shirts and none of us could resist buying one. I spent my precious food money from my 6 hour a week job working at the library on a shirt I adored but couldn't really afford. I wouldn't take back that purchase because the memories are priceless. Then we went back to our apartment and decided we needed a picture in our shirts. Our friend Alex took this picture, I think he said something funny... or someone must have judging from my facial expression. After that I was introduced to The Truman Show, a movie that left me paranoid that my life was secretly a reality show and all the people in it were just actors.
Sometimes I want to go back to those days. To the days of giggling with my roommates at 3 in the morning over absolutely nothing. To the days of finding pictures to add to our man wall. To the days of long walks around campus. To the days of talking about boys while eating breakfast. To the days of going running every night with some of my best friends. To the days of homework party's at the library. To the days of movie nights and making unhealthy food. To the days of walking to the grocery store because none of us had a car. Take me back.

vintage inspiration

I redesigned my blog today, and I'm really loving it.:)
I'm excited because I got a job this week!! I've been going crazy lately having nothing to do, so having a job is really going to be great! :) To pass the time I've been watching Downton Abbey, the Bachelor, and House Hunters. There I just admitted how pathetic my life has been this past month. I've also started going to a Zumbaclass that is really fun and has made me happier. I never thought I would turn into the girl who loves to exercise but I really do love it, it makes me feel so much better!
It's been hard to try and start rebuilding my life, after graduating. I don't have a lot of friends, I didn't have a job until yesterday, and I'm taking this semester off from school because I'm trying to decide what I want to go back to school for. It's been really frustrating and kind of hard, but I'm excited to be starting a new job next week because that's at least a positive step in the right direction.
I've also decided to start some sewing projects to fill my time. My sisters and I have decided that we want to make vintage dresses so I bought a couple of patterns I'm really excited about! The 1940's is my favorite era for style, I'm obsessed with it. I'll keep you guys updated with the progress of our dresses, and of course my dull and boring life! :)
